1 bus blaze victim identified

Out of the two charred bodies recovered from Bommanahalli bus tragedy, that was set ablaze by a group on Tuesday, one has been identified as that of Karupuswamy (34) of Vasudeva Nallur, Thirunaveli district, Tamil Nadu.

He was working as a fitter in a private firm in Bangalore and was travelling to his native, when the bus was torched.

The police have arrested three persons in this connection, but refused to divulge any information regarding the identity of them.

Three  robbed
Three persons were robbed in separate incidents in the City on Wednesday.

Madan Mohan, an employee of a private firm on HAL Ring Road, was returning home when three men on a motorbike robbed him of his gold chain and a cellphone and sped away.

In another incident, four men accosted industrialist Santosh near Pillanna Garden in KG Halli and robbed him of his valuables worth Rs 20,000.

In a similar incident, a gang assaulted autorickshaw driver Somashekhar and robbed him of Rs 5,000 on Sarjapur Road.

Man has fatal fall
A labourer died when he slipped and fell off a building on Magadi Road. He has been identified as Suresh (32), a native of Bidarahalli village in Mandya district.

According to the police, Altaf was assigned the task of razing a building near Prasanna Theatre. He employed Suresh for the job. Suresh was busy with the work he lost balance and fell from a height of 30 feet. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

3 killed in accidents
Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in the City on Wednesday.

A construction worker died when a car rammed into a motorbike on which he was riding pillion at Kaikondahalli near Kodathi. He has been identified as Ramesh (28), a resident of Rayasandra.

His employer was riding the motorbike. Car driver Mukesh (44) has been arrested. Rash driving is said to be the cause.

In another accident, a motorist was run over by a tempo at KR Circle. He has been identified as Ravi (19), a resident of RPC Layout. Tempo driver Balaraju has been arrested. Negligent driving is said to be the cause.
A man was run over by a vehicle near ADA auditorium on JC Road. The identity of the man is not known. The body has been kept at Victoria Hospital.
