The four books titled Loofy's Antics, Paushi Tales, Octo and Friends and Kiki's Summer Holidays proceed as simple and interesting short stories, wherein some words along the story are accompanied by a picture.

There is fair amount of repetition of the pictures and the words so that the CHILD'S memory is refreshed again and again and learning becomes effortless. As the stories progress, other concepts like singular-plural and sounds of certain activities are also added in. Like a raindrop has the word plop to tell the readers that it's the sound a raindrop makes when it touches the ground.

At the end of each book, one finds fun learning exercises.

Kiki’s Summer Holiday: A story is supposed to have a definitive beginning and end. But the stories that are packaged together in this book begin and end abruptly. A story book is read and re-read, specially for children in age group 3-6 years, however the stories in this book offer nothing more than one decent read.

 A very hot night, the third chapter in the book, highlights the importance of saving electricity and also stresses on cleanliness of the environment.

Octo and Friends: The first chapter of the book, The Escape, teaches a very important lesson in a very casual manner. It is a good read. However, the following chapters, Burnt Dosas, One Windy Day and One Hot Summer are one time read. “Lucy (dog) barked her smile,” a sentence in the last chapter, is not only grammatically wrong but may confuse the children.

Paushi Tales: This is the best book of the lot. It has some interesting stories that carry a lesson with them and can also be re-read. A Visit To The Zoo, can be an interesting way to teach tiny tots about animals. Grand Pa’s Walking Stick is the best story amongst all four books.

 It has got an emotional touch to it and teaches the most important lesson that a child needs to learn, to love our elders.

Loofy’s Antics: This is really an average book. “It rained heavily on the mountains,” the book uses this grammatically wrong statement. Moreover, the four chapters can barely be read once before they start sounding boring.

Radha has been writing stories, science and craft pieces, games puzzles and children's plays for a while.

The books have been published by UNISUN and are priced at Rs 50. This can be termed as quite expensive considering their content. The books claim to be for age group 3-6 years but some of the concepts can be difficult for children of that age. Overall, apart from Paushi Tales, the other books are just average.
