Salsa with Katya
Students at Shiamak Davar’s Institute for the Performing Arts (SDIPA) are preparing to set the dance floor on fire with Katya Virshilas’ sizzling hot salsa moves. Shiamak has specially flown in the renowned Canadian performer and choreographer, who trained Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez for the acclaimed dance drama Shall We Dance.
Katya Virshilas, who also played the lead in the 2006 Antonio Banderas blockbuster Take The Lead, will collaborate with Shiamak to train SDIPA students across India. Although she excels at Latin dancing, ballroom and salsa, Katya has also trained in the ballet, jazz, modern and hip hop styles.
