CRICKET / After fine performances in crunch situations, Dhoni's men gear up to meet Australia
Bold India eye a big scalp
Unfettered by the burden of expectations, armed with an attitude to die for and carrying the fierce desire to enjoy themselves, India have set the tournament afire through intelligence with bat and commitment on the field.
No pressure on Dhoni's men
Mahendra Singh Dhoni hinted that a lack of expectation from fans back home had helped take the pressure off his team and played its part in catapulting them to the semifinals of the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup.
'We'll give our best shot'
From himself being a new-ball bowler, Pathan is now first-change behind R P Singh and S Sreesanth. "Whatever the team decides is fine by me," he said. "The opening bowlers are doing a wonderful job."
CRICKET / Asif suffers elbow injury
Pakistan face Kiwis test
Pakistan were on Friday dealt a blow ahead of their Twenty20 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand with pace spearhead Mohammad Asif in doubt for the match with an elbow injury.
Another depressing night for SA
At the same venue where they so famously crashed out of the 2003 World Cup, the Proteas went out of the Twenty20 World Cup too following a 37-run drubbing at the hands of India on Thursday night.
