Grievance meet sans grievances
DH News Service, Bangalore:
When R Suresh, Principal Secretary, Department of Public Administration & Reforms walked into the Police Commissioner's office to listen to public grievances on Monday, there were hardly two people.

It was perhaps a wrong day to hold  public grievance meeting. When R Suresh, Principal Secretary, Department of Public Administration & Reforms  walked into the Police Commissioner’s office to listen to  public grievances on Monday, there  were hardly two people.

The City was getting ready to watch India-Pakistan cricket final, when the meeting was held.

Called off

So  Police Chief N Achutha Rao and Suresh had to call it off. Though the meeting heard the petitions submitted by the two, it was  found that they did not come under the purview of Bangalore police.
