The BBMP has ordered closure of McDonald’s Family Restaurant on Brigade Road. Health department officials of the Palike inspected the restaurant on Wednesday evening on a complaint of unhygiene by the public.

BBMP Chief Health Officer Dr L T Gayathri said that she ordered closure of the restaurant as the workers did not allow the officials to inspect the kitchen.

“We were surprised by the attitude of the restaurant workers and ordered for its closure. Notice has been issued to the restaurant”, she said.

Mr Sourabh, Operations Consultant with McDonald’s declined to comment. However he said the restaurant will be closed for some hours.

Health officers also inspected KFC eatery on Brigade Road and served a notice for not displaying a copy of licence taken from the Palike.
