As part of the their social service activites, Bangalore North Round Table 25 and Bangalore North Ladies Circle 14, organised a dental camp recently at Ulsoor. Free dental check-ups were provided to 370 underprivileged children. These children were from economically low income families and had least knowledge about dental care and upkeep. They were introduced to more hygienic ways of dental care.
Twenty doctors from Ramiah Medical College and Hospital came forward and carried out screening and conducted cavity filling, recommended root canal treatment and tooth extraction. Tooth paste and brush were given away on the occasion.
SAPPORT, a community service division of SAP Ltd, came forward to sponsor the entire project.
Langer (Mid day Meal) was personally served by SAP employees to all the children. It was with great relish that the kids partook of the meal.
The entire project gave a boost to those gathered.
Round Table India (RTI) is an organisation comprising of non-political and non-sectarian young men between the age group of 18 and 40. RTI aims at educating one million children, promote service, fellowship and goodwill in national and International affairs.
It has 165 Tables located in 75 cities and towns, comprising of businessmen, entrepreneurs, technocrats and professionals totalling more than 2500 Tablers.
In the last seven years, close to 700 school projects at a cost of over Rs. 550 million have been completed during this period benefiting around 3.5 lakh children.
