AND LAST WEEK...

National seminar
St Joseph’s College of Commerce organised a national seminar on ‘Women enterprenurship in the global economy’ recently.

The seminar was organised to encourage and create awareness, provide training and support to the women enterpreneurship movement.

The speakers included Sudha Prakash, Dr Vaijayanthi Pandit,  Ramakrishna Dharamji, Krithika Mekani and Madhura Chatrapathy.

Cobalt moods
Cobalt Moods, a concert featuring talented musicians Arati Rao (vocal), pianist Sharik Hasan, Keith Peters (bass), Adrian D’souza of Mumbai (percussionist) was organised at the Alliance Francaise on Tuesday. Music lovers were treated to the multi-faceted dimensions and moods of jazz, when Keith, Adrian and Sharik interpreted jazz standards in a unique way.

The well known singer Arati Rao sang popular and much loved songs such as ‘Love for Sale’, ‘Nica’s Dreams’, ‘Body & Soul’, ‘Angel Eyes’ including the passionate song ‘Obsession’ among many others. This was definitely jazz at its best.

The concert was presented by Dockers, San Francisco and The Bangalore School of Music and co-sponsored by State Bank of India and Radio Indigo, states a release.
