After registration, activation will take place with the selection of a mobile PIN, following which, the user will have to load cash to the number from a net bank account or at a outlet. To make payments one will have to enter the receivers detail and initiate transfer.

There are two types of Airtel Money accounts: Express Account and Power Account, while the former has a daily spending limit of Rs 10,000 and the other Rs 50,000. For Power Accounts, Airtel has established merchant partnerships with over 1,800 brands across the country, the company said.
