The Left parties have planned a massive protest rally at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on June 6 against the “anti-people” policies of the state and the central governments.
CPM district unit secretary M P Munivenkatappa told presspersons that both the governments had been exploiting people in different ways and were not working for the good of the common public. He said that the BJP, which had promised to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks had not kept up its word. The state government had not taken any effective steps to prevent farmers’ suicide and it had remained apathetic to the plight of the common people.
He said that as part of the convention, awareness campaigns would be held in the six taluks of Chikkaballapur district from June 1.
