Can intervene only if govt spends money against law: HC

The High Court of Karnataka on Monday said that it can intervene only if the money spent by the government on Sadhana Samavesha was against the provision of law.

A division bench of acting Chief Justice H G Ramesh and Justice P S Dinesh made the observation while hearing a PIL filed by Keertivardhan Joshi, alleging that the ruling party was using public money on Sadhana Samavesha, to fulfil its political objectives.

The petitioner sought time to furnish material for establishing the misuse of funds by the ruling party. The matter was adjourned to Friday.
