Chief of Flight Safety, Ravindra K of SpiceJet visited Mysore airport to conduct an inspection. He said that a few recommendations were made to the airport during his last inspection a month ago. He said that the recommendations were made from an operators point of view.

“There were a few technical deficiencies. Although the deficiencies have been met, the purpose of the visit is to counter check the arrangements,” he said.

Director of Mysore Airport, C N Manjunath said that the airport complied with the standards set to land Q400 aircrafts. “Since, SpiceJet landed a 78 seater plane as against a 72 seater planned earlier, we had to change a few markings in the landing strip and parking area,” he said.
