Beat poetry session
Logos Theatre presents A Performance in Spoken Word and Unword on April 17, at the Unwind Centre, 104, 17th C Main, 5th Block, Koramangala. Spoken Word is a form of contemporary urban youth art that was pioneered by the beat poets and the New York Poets' Cafe. A Spoken Word performance features highly rhythmic and idiosyncratic explorations of sound associations. This particular performance by Arka Mukhopadhyay will feature excerpts from T S Eliot's Waste Land, and poems by Pablo Neruda, E E Cummings, Langston Hughes and others. The rhythmic variations of Spoken Word will be presented in counterpoint to Unword - a language of sounds, gesture, movement and silence. Gospel meetings
Salem Brethern Worship Home Trust is organising a Telugu revival meeting for the 19th year at Wesley Community Hall, CSI Tamil Church, Opp Football Stadium from April 13 to 15. The seminar will be spread over three sessions - Morning session (10 am to 12 noon), evening session (6 pm to 7.30 pm) and an exclusive Bible study session from 2.30 pm to 4 pm.
