Birthday banter

Here are some famous people you share your birthday with...

October 3

Tommy Lee:
This rock musician is best known as Pamela Anderson’s ex-husband, Tommy Lee first gained fame as the drummer for the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, who came to national prominence after touring with the band KISS in 1983. In later years, Lee's musical career was eclipsed by his very public personal life, which included tumultuous marriages to actress Heather Locklear and actress/pinup Pamela Anderson. In 2005, he starred in his own ‘reality’ series, ‘ Tommy Lee Goes to College’ .

October 4

Susan Sarandon: Simply by growing old gracefully, actress Susan Sarandon has defied the rules of Hollywood stardom. Her fame continued to increase as she enters middle age. Ultimately, she has come to embody an all-too-rare movie type - the strong and sexy older woman. She had no interest in performing until after marrying actor Chris Sarandon. Sarandon landed a pivotal role in the controversial 1970 feature Joe , and suddenly her own career as an actress was well underway.

October 5

Kate Winslet: She is one of the UK's finest and most successful young actresses, a point proven in 1998 when she became the youngest actress ever to be twice nominated for Oscars (for her roles in Sense And Sensibility and Titanic ). Having at school weighed 185 lbs and suffered the nickname Blubber, she has also decried the pressures put upon young women by society and the film industry in particular.

October 6

Vladimir Putin:
Putin was born in St Petersburg and graduated from the Law Department of Leningrad State University in 1975. Putin was appointed Prime Minister of the Russian Government by President Boris Yeltsin in August 1999. On December 31, 1999, Yeltsin resigned, and appointed Putin the second (acting) President of the Russian Federation. He won the Presidential elections in 2000. He is comparatively young and is a sports enthusiast – he has practiced Judo since his youth.

October 7

Yukta Mukhi: The Miss World '99, 5 feet 11 inches tall Yukta Mookhey was born in 1977 to Aruna and Inderlal. The tall and svelte who studied Hindustani classical music had mentioned in a pre-Miss World biodata that she wants to pursue a career in mass communication and computer graphics. She made her debut in a film Pyaasa opposite Aftab.

October 8

Matt Paige Damon:
He is an American film actor and screenwriter. He was born in Cambridge, where he attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin, and helped the school to win many state drama festivals. Damon's first film job was one line in the romantic comedy Mystic Pizza. While working on the occasional film, Damon soon gained notice when he landed a big part in Geronimo following that movie as a heroin addicted soldier in 1996's Courage Under Fire . He was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for the film Good Will Hunting .
