My System restarts automatically when I start working on . But this does not happen all the time. I do I have an UPS. What is the reason?

Shijith k

You have not specified anything about the Windows version you are working with and whether you are working on the Internet. Please get it checked with your pc vendor or with the nearest PC support centre.

I have WinXP at home. I recently installed Adobe photo deluxe 4.0 from a DVD. It adds a virtual camera icon in the my computer window. I tried uninstalling Photo deluxe, but the uninstaller was corrupted. Trying to reinstall didn't work. Is there any way I can completely uninstall software which doesn't have uninstallers? Please let me know if there are any freeware utilities which uninstalls applications thoroughly.

Satish

The free ware uninstallers will work only if they are installed and active prior to uninstalling or installing any software. Please try uninstalling the software by booting in to safe mode (you can boot in to safe mode by pressing the F8 key before windows loads it self.) If this is not working try restoring your pc to an earlier date, option is available in safe mode itself, read the first screen carefully when you boot in to safe mode, it is the clear case of registry corruption.

I have Norton Antivirus 2003 and I update the antivirus database once a week. But I see a new virus database in NAV 2005 in my friend's house. How is it possible, this is my licensed copy. How to get those virus updates?

N.N.Aravinda.

The license validation for any antivirus is only for year. Please check if you have renewed your license with Norton if not then you will not be given the version update. Since Norton is handling both the versions separately you will always find the difference in the virus update database. Please ask for newer version from your computer vendor or you can purchase it online.

I have a Pentium IV system and the fan in the CPU makes a lot of noise (almost equal to that made by a sump motor) Is it possible to reduce the noise?

Sundara raj

You need to replace the CPU cooling fan. Please contact your PC vendor or nearest hardware support centre.

When we download files why is the speed of downloading very high only in the beginning. It later tapers off to even half or less the original speed as the download progresses.

N.K.Raghavendran

This generally happens when you downloading files with telephone dial-up connection. The target server pushes the data as it is capable of, but depending upon our bandwidth it reaches the bottle neck and finally you land up at 2 to 3kpbs which is the general download speed of a dial-up connection.

Whenever I use Floppy and shutdown my system the system reads the floppy drive continuously and some message appears as ending process ccApp.exe. Is it due to the Antivirus program ( I use NAV 2005 ).Even if I end this process in task manager, it says that access is denied. How can I avoid this problem?

For a few days now my SMPS fan is making more noise than normal. Please suggest a solution to this problem.

Charan Tej.G

It is probably the check of the antivirus that it is checking your FDD so that you do not boot from a bad / virus containing bootable disk.

To avoid this try keeping the floppy in the floppy drive at the time of shut down let anti-virus software check for it.

The SMPS fan needs a replacement, please contact your pc vendor or the nearest hardware support centre.
