There is a free online service which converts docs to pdf at http://www.gohtm.com/convert_pdf.asp. For off-line needs, private use only, you could generate PDF documents directly from within Word using CIB PDF Plug-in. The plug-in supports Microsoft WORD© 97/2000/XP(2002)/2003, Microsoft Windows© 95/ 98/ ME/ NT4/ 2000/Server 2003/XP.
