With focus on robotics and related fields including simulation, graphics, artificial intelligence, the Diploma course in Interactive Game design and Development, covers the entire gamut of knowledge required to make a great game developer.

Zee Interactive Learning Systems [ZILS], in association with Design Program and Media Technology Centre, IIT Kanpur, has introduced, a one-year Diploma course in Interactive Game design and Development.

A one of its kind, this course will provide students with first hand experience on Game Design as well as development.

Course structure

The course is structured to provide theory, training and hands on experience in both Game Design and Development.

In this course students will be exposed to in-depth and detailed sessions on Anatomy and animation timings.

Special attention will also paid for Low–Poly modelling, limited animation in gaming and faking caustics in texturing. A variety of software technologies relevant to games including programming languages, simulation engines and multimedia design systems are covered in the modules. With focus on underlining scientific concepts from robotics and related fields including simulation and modelling, graphics, artificial intelligence and real time processing, the course covers the entire gamut of knowledge required to make a Game Developer.

Admission criteria

The minimum qualification required to be eligible for the course ten plus toe years. In the 12-month duration of the course, first four months the training is conducted at Zee Institute of Creative Arts [ZICA], followed by four months at the Design Program and Media Technology Centre, IIT Kanpur and the last fou r months back at ZICA. With huge market growth and globalization, there is an increase in demand for Game developers and India is now becoming the most sought out destination for these professionals.
