Use of oil on your scalp will depend upon quality of your hair. Very oily scalp may not need any oil or only once a week oiling, one hour before shampooing. If your hair is rough and dry you may need oiling daily or on alternate day. Use shampoo according to your hair type - for oily hair use shampoo without conditioner or with very little conditioner and for dry hair use shampoo with conditioner or separate conditioner. The aim is to keep your hair clean and properly conditioned. Consult a good beauty therapist who can give your proper advice after assessing your hair and suggest you proper shampoo for your hair type. If you fancy homeopathy you could consult a good homeopath. I am a regular reader of your paper. You give very good tips. My height is 5 ft and weight 60 kgs, I like to wear pants and shirts but due to my weight, I cannot. My age is 23 years, I am fair complexioned with round face. Please suggest what dresses and colours I should wear? Sonia. Dear Sonia, According to your age and height you need to loose 10-12 kgs of weight to look firm and trim. The best way to loose weight is proper eating and regular exercise. You should indulge in regular walk 4-5 kms daily or jogging or join some gym and take a diet of 1500 to 1800 cals in consultation with some dietician. So that your weight is around 50 kgs. However, in the mean time you should wear outfits which are in dark colours, have vertical designs as that will give visual compression of more height and slimness. Wear outfits that are properly cut and fitted according to shape of your body, not too loose nor to tight. You should add some height by wearing high heels. I am a 25 years old woman, I have dark complexion and my nose, chin and mouth are even darken. I have my brother’s wedding in one month’s time. Can you please suggest what I can do at home or do I have to go to a parlour or dermatologist. A reader. Dear Reader, Skin over nose, chin and around the mouth being more oily and more prone to sun damage tends to get darken than the rest of the skin. Regular cleansing, use of oil free moisturisers, exfoliation packs and skin lightening creams will help in skin lightening. Use sun screen during sunny hours. At home you can use packs with tomato and papaya. Since time is short you should under go few alkaline peels or chemical peels and skin lightening facials. You should consult a beauty therapist in person for proper advice and treatment.
