The Leela Palace wore a fresh sparkle on the ‘Damas Exclusives’ night. The Grand Ballroom glowed in the spotlight and gold and diamonds created a diverse sort of drama. The ‘Damas Exclusives’ was the preview to the Damas jewellery which would be launched on October 7 in their first ever Indian outlet at the Sobha Alexander Plaza, Bangalore. As the guests trickled in, with flashlights blinking and the video cameras buzzing, the excitement level rose.

At the preview, four eminent personalities, Madhu Natraj, classical dancer, Veena Satyanarayan, former Miss India and actress, Arundathi Raja, theatre person and Suma Sudhindra, Veena player, were present to unveil the various collections in white, yellow and pink with glistening diamonds. “India can rightfully boast of a rich heritage of jewellery design. Sringar has always been an important part of the Indian woman where she sees Sringar as the decoration of her intangible element, the soul”, Madhu Natraj said.
“Jewellery has served as an enchanting metaphor of eternal love and everlasting romance”, said Arundathi Raja, presenting a collection inspired by vintage Hollywood.
“Jewellery has also provided security in times of adversity while lending the wearer a subtle feeling of well being”, Suma Sudhindra chipped in.
The grand finale had model Roshni walk past the spell-bound audience in a diamond and white gold mask crafted with unparalleled finesse. “Over the next two to three years, Damas aims to open 20 to 30 outlets in the major metros in India, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Cochin etc,” said Shaheeda, MD, Damas, India.
Anil Kumble, Srinath, Vani Ganapathi and Deepthi Sudhindra were among the invitees.
