Indus eagles soar
Bright young children of Indus International School adorned new colours at the investiture ceremony at their campus at Sarjapura recently in the presence of Lt Gen Bhopinder Singh, Director General Military Training of the Indian Army and parents.

The investiture of the Students’ Council symbolised the empowerment of students and their assumption of responsibilities to meet any challenge.

The proud parents gave the badges to their children chosen after rigorous competition and tests. Lt. Gen Bhopinder Singh handed over the School Captains’ batons to Reetika Suri and Shaun George, who became the Girl and the Boy Head of the School.

Addressing the students, teachers, administrators, trustees and parents, Lt. Gen Bhopinder Singh said, “The Indus International School with its core values of love, empathy and discipline derived from timeless words of wisdom of our saints, seers and prophets and with an emphasis on leadership, provides an unique opportunity to develop the ability to share experiences and responsibility and get along with others.

While machines and technology are useful, there is an interwoven need of dependence and support that knows no national, cultural or religious boundaries”, he said.

Shri T.P.Vasanth, Managing trustee of Indus International said, “We are an institution that accepts no substitute for academic quality and no excuse for mediocrity. We are a school that challenges itself everyday to become better and our faculty and staff understand that in a flattened world victory does not belong to the large and the strong but to the swift and the creative.” He called upon the young members of the student council to accept the challenge of office with humility and honour.
