Lotus’, a unique floral boutique in Defence Colony, Indiranagar, is holding a festival season sale from October 10 to October 30, between 10.30 am and 5.30 pm from Monday to Saturday. Launched two years ago by Veena Banerji, the store specialises in Ikebana style arrangements of both fresh and dry flowers in beautiful lifestyle vases, accent lamps for the home in delicate handmade designs and individual terracotta artifacts.
“It started as a hobby for me but later I got involved in it. I formally trained in Ikebana during my stay in Japan, where I took some specialised courses in the art form,” says Veena. Lotus deals with long lasting flowers like anthurium, orchid, albenia, musa etc. She handpicks the vases for her store from Thailand.
“They are in ceramic and wood and in fusion colours of red and gold. The lamps are hand made in natural fibres in floral designs,” she adds.
The arrangements at Lotus are priced at Rs 250 and above and the vases range from Rs 500 to Rs 2,000.
