STUDYING ABROAD
Ing K. Raja Reddy

Dear Sir,

I am doing my Bsc in electronics along with AMIE (electronics and communication), I have also finished a course in hardware and networking.

I would like to pursue an MS abroad. Could you let me know if my qualifications are enough for doing an MS in countries like USA, Australia and United Kingdom. Would my knowledge of hardware and networking help for a part time or odd jobs.

Lakshmi

Dear Lakshmi,

You are eligible to apply for a MS program in all three countries.

Definitely your knowledge will help you to pick up part time jobs meant for skilled professionals, which means you may expect better remuneration provided you land in the right kind of job.

Dear Sir,

I am interested in pursuing my Masters degree in Visual Effects in the U S.

I have completed a three year bachelors degree (in India).

Is it possible for me to do one year (the first year) of a two years masters degree course (from a Govt. recognised university in India), and then apply for a masters degree in the U S. I was advised to do the first year of a masters degree here and then drop out after the first year so I would have 16 years of education. Will this count as the sixteenth year that is required by universities abroad.

Could you give me other options. Does work experience count in getting admission to a U S universities. Please help?

Keira.

Dear Keira,

As long as you have completed the sixteenth year in a university recognised course it will be valid for the MS program in US universities.

Work experience does not account as equivalent to education.

However if you have the work experience it will help you in getting more course credits for MS so that you will be able to take up additional courses to enhance your qualification. Go ahead and plan to acquire the additional year's education in the field of your study.

Dear Sir,

I have completed my plus two. I would like to do my MBBS abroad. Where acn I do an MBBS course. What are the job opportunities after I complete an MBBS.

Student

Dear student,

Presently Russia and other countries around are also coming to the limelight in educational field. It also appears that cost of education is very competitive and works out very economical.

Be aware that you need to learn the language and hence it may take longer to complete the course. Make sure that the university you are approaching is listed in the WHO list of medical schools.

Also you need to appear for the National Board of Examinations on behalf of the Medical Council of India (MCI) in order to practice in India.

Once you qualify you in this manner you stand the same chance as any other medical graduate.
