After receiving a post-graduate degree in journalism from Calcutta University, Kalyan wrote science stories for major Calcutta publications before joining PTI in Delhi. Since 2000, he is an integral part of DH Delhi bureau closely tracking the developments in India’s science, technology, health and environment sectors. He also reports extensively on defence and security issues and travelled widely for reporting from the ground. In the off-time, he loves to read thrillers and dreams of writing one someday.
