Soothing Voices

The semi-finals of Voice Of Bangalore Season 4 witnessed many talented singers

The stage is set for the finals of Voice of Bangalore Season 4 with six candidates shortlisted from the ten who battled it out in the semi-finals held at Garuda Mall recently. As the event began, a huge crowd gathered to cheer the contestants.

Music directors V Manohar, Rajesh Ramanath and Raghu Dixit were in the jury to decide the fate of the candidates. They grilled each singer’s performance and pointed out their flaws.

The event had a colourful start with a female contestant, Yamini S, rendering a melodious track Madhuvana Karedare from the movie Inthi Ninna Preethiya, which set the appropriate mood for the evening.

Though she captured the hearts of the audience with her soothing voice, the judges didn’t let her go easily, especially Rajesh Ramanath who tested her comfort level in different pitches.

Next came Pareekshit Kumar, who sang a romantic track Chalisuva Cheluve. Much to his surprise, Raghu Dixit expressed a desire to work with him as he liked Pareekshit’s voice a lot.

But it was Krishna T V, an engineering student from BNMIT, who made the judges give him a standing ovation for his rendition of Deena Na Bandiruve.

His rendition made the audience relive the heartwarming performance of late actor Rajkumar for this particular song.

At the end of Krishna’s performance, many listeners were in tears.

Last but not the least, Shesha Prasad, a talented singer, took the stage for yet another devotional song Shivashankari from the film Jagadekaveerana Kathe.

He did justice to the song originally crooned by legendary singer Ghantasala. In the second part of the competition, the singers rendered Bollywood songs.

The six lucky participants, who were able to sail through the semi-finals, include Pareekshith, Deepak, Krishna T V, Yamini S, Shwetha and Apoorva Shridhar. Delighted by his selection, Krishna T V said, “I was confident of passing this round but the competition will be tough in the finals”.

At the end of the event, Raghu Dixit and Rajesh Ramanath performed some of their hit songs as per the requests of the audience.

The finals of Voice of Bangalore Season-4 is scheduled on October 10, where these six finalists will battle it out for the ultimate victory.

Udit Narayan, Guru Kiran and Rajesh Krishnan will be judging the grand show.
