Funds assured for Chitradurga-Tumkur-BGE line

Chitradurga (Kar), PTI:

Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa on Thursday promised to provide funds for the Chitradurga-Tumkur-Bangalore new railway line in the coming Budget to fulfill the long pending demand of people of Karnataka.


K H Muniyappa Speaking at a function organised by the Railway Horati Samithi to felicitate him here, Muniyappa said he would make efforts to commence the work on the project which would provide rail link between Chitradurga and Bangalore.

The samithi in its memorandum said survey work had already been completed on the Rs 1,000 crore project.

Davanagere MP, G M Siddesh, Chitradurga MP, Janardhana Swamy, Karnataka Minister for Sports Gulihatti Shekar and Social Welfare Minister D Sudhakar were present.
