Skill training centres for Gulbarga, B'lore

GTZ is an international enterprise founded in 1975 by Erhard Eppler and owned by the German Federal Government, specialising in technical cooperation for sustainable development with worldwide operation.

Labour Minister B N Bache Gowda said the centres would be constructed at a cost of Rs 64 crore. The Centre would share 50 percent of the funds. The institute would come up in two acres of land in Bagalakunte in Bangalore and in KIADB land in Gulbarga. Some of the courses to be offered in the centres are - electronics, automobile mechatronics and environmental engineering. These centres would begin classes from next academic year.

Minimum educational qualification for these courses varies from SSLC to graduation.
The minister said that the government had revised minimum wages for safai karmacharis and municipal workers of municipal bodies.

The revised wages would come into effect immediately. The wages were last revised in May 2005.
