The waiting lounge is upgraded under PPP model with Ultratech, a company. <br /><br />Dasara special<br /><br />To cater to Dasara rush, a special train will be introduced during the Dasara festival said enior Divisional Commercial Manager of Mysore Division of South Western Railway, Dr Anoop Dayanand Sadhu. The train will depart from Bangalore at 10.15 am and reach mysore at around 1 pm. After arriving at Mysore, it will immediately leave for Bangalore, he said. <br /><br />After ‘Jamboo Savari’, the last leg of Dasara, a special night train will be operated from Mysore to Bangalore at 9 pm. <br /><br />He said that a proposal has been sent to the railway headquarters to run a night train towards Nanjangud on that day.<br /><br />This apart, additional reservation counters will be opened at the station as the numberof passengers is expected to double against about 25,000 recorded during the normal days. <br /><br />Sadhu said that the additional counters will also be opened at Nanjangud and Chamarajanagar. </p>.<p>Additional coaches<br /><br />Two additional coaches will be added to the trains on the Mysore - Bangalore route to accommodate the adequate nmber of passengers. In order to counter the rush on the final day, railway TTs will be handed over tickets in advance so that people can buy it from them instead of buying the tickets from the reservation counters. <br /><br />Escalator<br /><br />Verma said that tenders have been invited for constructing an escalator on Platform One and the works are expected to start soon after awarding the job. He said that the subway planning process has been completed. Multi-functional complex that is coming up at the main gate, is expected to be complete soon,he added.<br /><br />Security measures<br /><br />The security at the Station will be beefed up with an additional 20-25 security personnel from the Railway Protection Force manning the exit points. <br /><br />Senior Divisional Manager B B Verma said that all the exit points will be manned by a constable and TT. Commenting on railway overbridge on K R S Road, Verma said that the road will be temporarily opened up during Dasara and will be closed soon after the same. The bridge works is expected to take further three to four months to complete.</p>
