An interesting watch on air

Sony PIX presents Hannibal Rising starring Aaran Thomas, Gaspard Ulliel, Li Gong and Helena-Lia Tachovsk at 9 pm on June 30. This film is about the formative years of monster Hannibal Lecter (Gaspard Ulliel).

His experiences as a child and young man led to his remarkable contribution to the fields of medicine, music, painting and forensics.

After the death of his parents, Hannibal moves in with his beautiful Japanese aunt who has descended from Lady Murasaki Shikibu, author of the Tale of Genji. That’s when he begins plotting revenge on the barbarians who were responsible for his sister Mischa’s death.

A water attack
Hell path no fury like a women scorned. Recently, singer Abhijeet got a taste of this while
shooting for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs with Alka Yagnik, who is his co-judge
on the show. While the two have had a rather colourful history of fights, this recent incident takes the cake. Apparently, Alka lost her temper and poured a pitcher of Gangajal over Abhijeet’s head.

This was because Abhijeet kept sprinkling holy water on Alka, (participant Hemant Brijwasi’s father had got the water from Benares) throughout the episode and tested her already flagging patience. She was so furious that she grabbed the pitcher of holy water and poured it over Abhijeet’s head. Kailash Kher, who was the guest judge, was shocked.

Different colours of India
Tune into Discovery Travel and Living at 7 pm on June 30 to watch Floyd’s India. Keith Floyd turns his attention to the remarkable continent of India.

The greatness of India’s cuisine lies in it regional foods and menus — Floyd travels throughout the country, comparing and contrasting the different food styles. In this episode of Floyd’s India, Keith visits the enticing Goa.

The cuisine in Goa is a mixture of hot, sour and spicy flavours and not surprisingly, the Goans eat quite a bit of fish.

Shibani rubbishes link-up
The Shibani Kashyap singer-composer Shibani Kashyap has been travelling across boundaries, and has been extremely busy with her upcoming projects and her maiden band Sojourne. Amidst all these, she has found herself in a very humourous situation. The young lass has been allegedly linked to television actor Aditya Kapoor of Saat Phere fame.

Well, the singing sensation who was seen recently at the Dubai Fashion Fiesta as the show stopper and performer, denies the rumour and claims they come from nowhere. Apparently, the actress hasn’t even met Aditya Kapoor, let alone being friends. Says Shibani, “These rumours are baseless and I’m shocked at their origin. I don’t even know this guy.” The beautiful singer has always kept her personal life low-key and let her professional life do all the talking. Well, we too appreciate it that way Shibani.
