Ex-Army man cycles against all odds

Prabhjit Singh, an ex-soldier, who is on an all India cycling expedition was in Bangalore on Tuesday, with the message ‘Nothing is impossible’.


Nothing is impossible: Prabhjit Singh an ex-service man of the Indian Army, who lost his left arm and foot in an  accident, is on a journey to 18 states, covering 9,546 kms by cycle.He was felicitated by the Army at the Madras Engineering Group and Centre for his adventurous spirit, courage and inspiring message.

Singh said that though it was a hard and arduous journey through difficult terrain and weather, he wanted to show that despite being physically challenged, with grit and determination one could achieve anything.

A resident of Ambala, Haryana, he joined the Indian army in 1984 and was commissioned into J&K Rifles, but could only serve for five years due to a railway accident in which he lost his left arm and foot. At the age of 41, he conceptualised the national expedition and began the journey on January 19 of this year. He has been through 18 states and will be headed to Tamil Nadu from here.

He has already cycled 9,546 kms cycling for 939 hours over 65 days.
