Manipal hospital in Nepal closed indefinitely

The relatives of the patient undergoing treatment at the Manipal Hospital of Pokhara, a western Nepal town, had manhandled Dr Sharad Chandra Baral and Shankar Poudel accusing them of negligence in the treatment of a 43-year-old patient.|

They claim that the oxygen cylinder supplied to the man was empty. Doctors and employees at the hospital have brought all services to a halt demanding that those involved in vandalising the hospital be punished.They have also demanded apology from those involved in the incident. Hundreds of patients visiting the hospital daily for treatment have been affected due to the closure of the hospital.Police have arrested five persons for their suspected involvement in vandalising the hospital.
