A few persons have been arrested in connection with the clashes and stabbing incidents, police said, but did not give details. The communal tension that rocked Udayagiri and adjoining areas here has left three persons including a child dead. Trouble broke out on Thursday after the alleged desecration following which members of a community attacked and killed a 47-year-old labourer who was on his way to work. In retaliation, two persons were fatally stabbed by members of other community. State Home Minister Dr V S Acharya is likely to visit the city later in the day and also the affected areas, sources said.
