Nargis Bagheri believes in slow but steady growth

Mumbai, PTI:

Actress Nargis Bagheri, who made her debut in Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Garam Masala', says she is satisfied with her slow but steady growth in Bollywood.

Nargis, who played one of three girlfriends of Akshay in the movie, will be next seen in 'Morning Walk'.

"I have portrayed a glamorous role in my debut film 'Garam Masala', a devdasi in message-oriented 'Pranali' and a happy go lucky girl in 'Morning Walk' where I get to share screen space with the likes of Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore," Nargis said.

The actress says that instead of having a grand debut opposite a top star and then fading into oblivion, she is getting to portray meatier roles.

Talking about 'Morning Walk', which releases this month, Nargis says the film speaks about love relationships.

"People are not very vocal and expressive about such relationships. This is a very feel good film which dwells into the relationship between Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore and their meeting again after 23 years," she says.

Nargis plays the role of Anjali, the "love child" of characters played by Sharmila and Kher, in the film.

"It was a rewarding experience working with these two stalwarts," Nargis says.
The actress is currently shooting for 'Khusti', which stars Rajpal Yadav and wrestler Khali among others.

"My character is that of a village girl where all the locals fancy the sport of 'khusti' (wrestling). She has a huge crush on Salman Khan," the actress said.
