It will take policy decisions and approve annual plan of operation with respect to compensatory afforestation, while the
Executive Committee will ensure implementation of decisions taken by Governing Body.
Other members are Environment Historian Dr Ramachandra Guha, Dr P K Shetty of NIAS and Ananth Hegde Ashisara, Chairman of Western Ghats Task Force.
