KPMG bags award from Asia Venture Capital Journal

New Delhi, Dec 7, (PTI):

Consultancy firm KPMG India today said that it has bagged the financial advisor award instituted by Asia Venture Capital Journal.

"This award is a testament to our premier position that we enjoy with the Private Equity industry. The Private Equity industry in India is returning to high growth levels with about USD 6 billion having been invested in the first 9 months of 2010 across 230 deals," said KPMG Head of Private Equity Advisory, Vikram Utamsingh in a statement.

What is even more important for this industry is that 2010 is emerging as a strong year for Private Equity exits and these exits should encourage more Limited Partners to allocate more funds towards India, as money is returned to them, he said.
