Lokayukta lauds Rotary Club’s service

Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde on Sunday lauded the yeomen service rendered by the Rotary Club of Bangalore.
He was addressing the Rotarians at the installation ceremony of the Rotary Club of Bangalore (District 3190) office bearers for the year 2009-10, here on Sunday at the Rotary House of Friendship.
The programme coincided with 75 years of its establishment. Justice Santosh Hegde recalled an incident, when he received a complaint on his mobile phone recently, on lack of ventilator facility at the K C General Hospital in Malleswaram.
“This is the sorry state ofaffairs at government-run hospitals. But, institutions such as Rotary club have shown the real meaning of social service. May, Rotary continue its social service for many more decades to come,” he added.
