<p>Launching the dharna in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue, JD(U) state unit President Dr M P Nadagouda hit out at the B S Yeddyurappa led government for its 'involvement' in a series of land scams, which he said, "has brought to the fore corruption that has seeped into every sphere in the state".<br /><br />Terming the judicial probe ordered by the government into the land scams as the 'biggest farce' and an 'eyewash',he said such probes in the past had never yielded any results.<br /><br />Taking a swipe at BJP for demanding resignations of ministers for their alleged involvement in various scams, including CWG and the 2G Spectrum and "now removal of CVC," <br />Nadagouda sought to know how the party could ask for it "when their own government in the state has earned the tag of the most corrupt government".<br /><br />He also slammed the BJP government for its 'anti farmer" policies which he alleged had led to debt-ridden farmers selling their farming equipment.<br /><br />Flaying the UPA government for "keeping its eyes closed over widespread corruption in its own government", he alleged that its anti-people policies, including rise in prices of essential commodities had hit the common man the hardest.<br /><br />The BJP has kept Karnataka out of its nationwide protest against the UPA government being staged today in the wake of the party government facing a spate of corruption charges.</p>
