Repolling in two booths in Gulbarga dist
Repolling will be held in two polling booths at Ankalagi in Afzalpur taluk of Gulbarga district on Monday, bringing to a close the election process to all the Zilla and Taluk Panchayats in the State.
The State Election Commission had ordered repolling in the two booths after miscreants damaged the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
During the three phase panchayat polls held on December 26, December 31 and January 1, elections were held for a total of 1,013 Zilla Panchayats seats and 3,659 Taluk Panchayat (TP) seats spread across 30 districts.
The counting will be taken up at 171 centres at district and taluk headquarters on January 4. Sale of liquor has been prohibited across the State from 10.30 pm on January 3 to January 4 midnight.
