The CKP is coming under the rule of an Administrator for the second time in a span of four years.
The State government has abolished the executive committee of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat.
Transport Department Secretary M K Shankarlinge Gowda has been given additional responsibility as Administrator of the Parishat.
The government decided to appoint the Administrator following an inquiry by the Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies H D Ramesh.

With the appointment of the Administrator the executive committee consisting 15 members loses its existence.
The committee, which was elected for a term of three years, lost its existence within 20 months after being elected. Now Chitrakala Parishat chairman T Prabhakar, secretary Prof Kamalakshi and other office-bearers have to vacate their offices as per the official sources.
