Indo-Pak talks must be free from terror threat: SMK
New Delhi, DHNS:

India has said the confession by Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari that his country has been nurturing terrorists has vindicated its stand.

Speaking in Parliament on Thursday, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna expressed hope that Islamabad would now make determined efforts to reign in terrorists from striking across the boarder. “We have got something close to a confession from (Pakistan’s) highest authority which has vindicated our stand in the eyes of the world,” Krishna said.

He was responding to clarifications sought by Opposition Leader in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley on India’s assessment of Pakistan’s leadership in the wake of Zardari’s statement that terrorists had been nurtured and used as part of the state policy before 9/11.
