Tata Sky to launch Tata Sky+HD

Tata Sky, on Wednesday, announced that it will soon be rolling out Tata Sky+ HD, the new generation Personal Video Recorder (PVR) with the capability of delivering High Definition (HD) picture quality in 1080i resolution with Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound.
Using the huge 500 GB hard drive users can record many of their favourite programs on TV in HD resolution, the company claimed. Tata Sky+ HD also includes all the original features of recording and playing back programs, Pausing or Rewinding live TV, different play-back positions, Series Link, Resume Recording after Power Cut and Auto Power Standby. Tata Sky+ HD is priced at Rs 3,999.
