Classic action remake

The remake of the 1972 movie, The Mechanic, pulls up all the stock from the action departmental store. Arthur (Statham), a professional assassin, is assigned to kill his boss and friend Harry (Sutherland).
After doing his job, Arthur is approached by Harry’s son Steve (Foster) who wants to be trained. Arthur reluctantly gives in and the two begin working as a team. But soon enough, Arthur finds out why he was assigned to kill his boss and he decides to set things right once and for all.
Statham is now one of the best action heroes in the industry and if he is in a film everyone knows that he is going to kick butts and kill his enemies in the most stylish stunts. Here too, he outclasses the original Charles Bronson’s The Mechanic. Despite a sloppy editing the film is better and sleeker than Statham’s earlier films like the Crank and The Transporter. It also has some drama to keep you engrossed.
Over the years, The Mechanic has become much meaner, sexually active and extraordinarily violent when he uses his guns and hands. Despite the weak and predictable plot the film stands out with some solid thrills.
