Wrestlers draw crowds at Akhada

The wrestling tournament was organised by Negilayogi Samaja Seva Trust and Mysore Wrestling Abhivrudhi Seva Trust to revive the age old sport to limelight.

At a time when people hesitate even when tickets are free, the  ` 30 entry fee failed to deter crowds from watching the bout. The first match was between wrestlers ‘Star Sunil’ of Ganjam and Salman Khan of Dewankhan Garadi. slugging it out for 10 minutes. The duo matched each other with their skills ending in a tie.

Twently wrestlers competed  in the tournament.

Retired Superintendent of Police D Ramasubba and Karantaka Exhibition Authority Chairman B P Manjunath inaugurated the tournament.
