'Steps have been taken to check elephant menace'

 Speaking after inaugurating various developmental works in Nandibattalu in Lingadalli, he said action plan has been prepared to help the residents of Lingadahalli.

Under Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana and RIDF project, three primary schools have been constructed at Ballavara, Saidukhan and Nandibattalu. Foundation stone was laid to the Morarji Desai Residential School.

The school will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 4.83 crore.

Zilla Panchayat President B G Bharathi Srinivasagowda said “government is giving emphasis to education. However, it is sad that developmental works are of poor quality.” TP President Nethravathi Ramesh, memebers S K Krishnapa and others spoke.
