Polio drive: Kodagu covers 90.35 pc children

In the second phase of pulse polio drive, Kodagu district has registered 90.35 per cent success. In the first phase, it had covered 87 per cent kids.
The target in the district was to administer polio drops to 52,926 children who are between the age group of 0-5. As many as 47,821 children have been administered with polio drops, said DHO Dr Thimmaiah to Deccan Herald.
In Madikeri taluk, as many as 12,129 children were administered polio drops. Somwarpet taluk has registered 92.05 per cent while Virajpet taluk has registered 89.61 per cent.
He said the administration of polio drops was continued till Tuesday.
