<p>Stumped by the complaints that all top ranks of the university are being awarded to students of Bellary district for quite some time, the Lokayukta has said that the matter will be probed ‘thoroughly’. <br /><br />Disclosing this to reporters after attending a book-release function here on Sunday, Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde said his office had received a number of complaints that students of Bellary district are being awarded the top ranks since the last few years. <br /><br />Complaints<br /><br />Many students had complained to the Lokayukta to probe the matter. Asserting that a probe will be conducted, Justice Hegde said the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor won't come under the scanner. <br /><br />But the matter would be probed ‘appropriately’ and a report would be submitted to the State government.</p>
