IAAF gets five bids for ’17 WC
Germany, Hungary and Spain have joined Britain and Qatar in expressing interest in hosting the 2017 world championships, the International Association of Athletics Federations said in a statement on Thursday.
"With the deadline now closed, letters of intent from Member Federations interested in hosting the 2017 edition of the IAAF World Championships have now been received from five countries," the IAAF said.
Cities who have bid so far: Germany (Berlin), Britain (London), Hungary (Budapest), Qatar (Doha) and Spain (city to be decided).
