91st convocation of Mysore varsity on April 10
The 91st annual convocation of the University of Mysore (UoM) will be held on April 10, said a release issued by the varsity.
Candidates who have taken B Ed, LL B, B P Ed are not considered for PG degrees, as they are considered basic degrees. Only medalists and prize winners will attend the convocation in this respect.
Candidates may obtain their degrees either ‘In person or In Absentia’ by applying in the prescribed form sent by Registrar (Evaluation), University of Mysore or by obtaining from the concerned colleges where they studied last or by obtaining from the varsity during office hours.
Certificates to the candidates who apply for taking degrees ‘In Absentia’ will be sent to them directly by registered post/ speed post by the Registrar (Evaluation), UoM after the convocation.
Candidates who have passed their degree examinations during September / October 2010 are not eligible for obtaining their degrees at this convocation except engineering degree examinations.
Only those candidates who have passed their MBBS degree examinations held during July 2009 and who have completed their internship are eligible for applying for taking their degrees at their convocation.
Fee for degree certificate
Fee for degree certificate of Ph D for general category is ` 1,200, while for SC/ST/ Cat-1 is ` 600. Fee for P G Degree/ LL B, B Ed for general category is ` 900, while it is ` 450 for SC/ST/ Cat-1. Fee for others in general category is ` 650 and for SC/ST/ Cat-1 it is ` 300. Fee for engineering/ medical is ` 4,000 and for SC/ST/ Cat-1 is ` 2,000.
Duly filled applications along with challan and photocopies of marks card should be sent to the Registrar (Evaluation), University of Mysore on or before: March 24 without fine and March 28 with a fine of ` 100.
