Clarence ride on Suman, Divith batting exploits

Bangalore, DHNS:

Spurred by half-centuries from M Suman (91) and C Divith (51), Clarence High School registered a thumping 186-run win over Sri Aurobindo Memorial School in a first-phase match of the Boost Cup inter-school under-16 cricket tournament.

Batting first, Clarence scored a formidable 224 all out in 27.5 overs, and bundled Sri Aurobindo out for a measly 38 in 7.2 overs as Divith got into the act again, picking up three for 14.

In another match of the day, Kenneth Ashish took four wickets as Shantiniketan School, Mico Layout, pipped Jain Heritage School by four-wickets.

Kenneth’s four for 32 helped Shantiniketan to restrict Jains for a moderate 166 for seven in the allotted 30 overs. Shantiniketan replied through Varun (32) and Sanjay (35) before reaching the target in the 27th over losing six wickets. Mihir Saksena’s all round effort (46 & 2-30) for Jains went in vain.
