Farmers' queue to get RTCs
Farmers have been waiting in queue to collect RTC copy to apply under Suvarna Bhoomi scheme, in Kadur taluk. Under Suvarna Bhoomi scheme, each farmer with small holdings will get financial assistance of Rs 10,000.
The revenue department will prepare a list of eligible farmers who own less than five acre land to avail the financial assistance. The applications for the scheme is available at all the Raitha Samparka Kendra. As April 20 is the last date to submit the application forms, farmers were seen waiting for the RTC copy.
The beneficiaries will receive Rs 5,000 in two installments. After receiving the applications, eligible beneficiaries will be identified by the Tahsildars in a meeting convened by the DC, said Agriculture department Assistant Director Shivakumar.
The financial assistance will be given to those farmers who grow dicotyledon, oil seeds and B T Cotton.
