Dakshina Kannada Zilla Bouddha Mahasabha, Mangalore, will celebrate 2555th Buddha Jayanthi at Karnataka State Government Employees Hall (NGO Hall) on May 17.
Veerya Sheela Bhantheji from Mysore will guide the devotees in performing Buddhavandane, Maitri Dhyana and Dammopadesha. Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof T C Shivashankarmurthy will be the chief guest for the stage programme, informed the release.
As many as 775 people with 207 BPL families will be distributed with health insurance policy, mediclaim card and notebooks to students will be given on the occasion, said the release.
